How this got started

Believe it or not I started this blog in response to popular demand. It blog started out as a list of people I would send emails to when I was on vacation detailing the goings on of my idiot friends and myself, partly just to let people know I was still alive and well and partly because I enjoyed writing the stories. In response to requests for more details the emails grew in size and frequency, and I eventually began to refer to them as "Crazy Larry's Excellent Adventures". As time went on people actually sent me emails asking to be added to the list, which eventually grew into the hundreds, and asking if it would be okay to forward the stories on to other people. Then blogs became the next big thing, and when I got back from a vacation many people would urge me to start one and offer these tales to a larger audience. The idea appealed to me, but it was only when I found myself trapped at an airport in the middle of a flooded desert in California, with no more excuses to not do it, that Kim Lacroix was able to talk me into this. We spent a couple of days in the Bomb Shelter Bar and Grill with Kim teaching me how to blog while we waited for the clouds to go away, and this is the result.
